A Chocolate Tart to beat the rest
Hi everyone, it’s been a little longer than I’d have liked so with that I bring you some beautiful images of a chocolate and hazelnut tart. Now, the chubby guy in the red suite will be visiting us all in a couple of weeks, no I’m not talking about Uncle Bertie in his bingo onesie, so this is the time of year you can have a chocolate tart, treat and not feel guilty.
Even if you don’t try something like this chocolate tart, there’s bound to be a couple of showcase dishes at your Christmas. Get those Christmas camera’s out and get shooting.
On the whole, I keep my shoots fairy clear of props, just some nice surfaces and perhaps material textures. Instead of props I choose to show the subject, in this case our beautiful chocolate tart, without distraction to showcase the skill and dedication it took to create. With the perfect little meringues and the sugar honeycomb it’s certainly a show stopper.
We start with the chocolate tart as a whole, before we invite you to taste it’s incredible flavours by slicing off a couple of pieces. I’ve recently been shooting back in London, the last trip was a couple of weeks ago and I had the best time. The subject matter was as diverse as you can get, a bump shoot for an actress and director friend, a new and exciting restaurant, The Manor, from the same team who created The Dairy. The weekend closed with shooting head shots for the most wonderful entrepreneurs in a swanky Mayfair apartment.
As this post is published I’ll be working in London again, shooting two restaurants back to back. Keep an eye on my social media in case I get a second or two to post a snippet. I’ve got lots to share with you so keep an eye on things here or get on my RSS feed so you won’t miss anything.
