Day 7 of 12 tales from behind the lens with the Habibi inner circle
I met Karmin Meckael over two years ago at the Les Brown weekend conference, which I’ve mentioned before. I remember the first time we actually met. It was in the lobby of the hotel where the conference was being held. I had been very impressed by her public speaking, especially when you realise English is not her native language. I was actually walking by her when everything in me said stop! You need to go and speak to her.
We quickly realised we were on the same wavelength and approached things in a very similar way. We spent a good while chatting and even made a rough video interview, Karmin was the interviewer, asking me questions about photography. I can tell you, she took on the part far more naturally than I did. Today she has grown so much in skills and confidence, she’s such an inspiration.
Recently Karmin started to host her own workshops, Learn The Art Of Persuasion, which have been a huge hit and sell out quickly. I was asked if I’d like to attend but after a short chat, her power of persuasion had me in London giving photographic coverage for my good friend’s very first workshop. I couldn’t have been more proud.
Karmin attracted the most amazing group of people and speakers to a very cool London venue and smashed it. I’m so glad I was there to tell a small part of her story. The attendees are all part of Karmin’s Habibi Inner Circle and they’re such a powerful group of the loveliest people. Most recently Karmin has started her YouTube channel and it’s looking like 2017 is going to be a remarkable year for her and all her Habibis.
Again I was creating with those who don’t accept things as they are, but push the boundaries and do it with joy in their hearts. Do what you love and make it work for you. I think you can see the energy of the day, the Habibi energy captured in the picture. They sure made my job so much easier.
